Code of conduct

Please read this before using the pool. It keeps everyone safe.

Opening hours

Opening hours are published on this website and on the pool notice board. These are the times we aim for, but they may change because of weather, maintenance or other unforeseen circumstances:

  • 9:30am – 7:30pm in November, December and March
  • 8:30am – 9pm in January
  • 9:30am – 8:30pm in February

The school may have exclusive use of the pool on school days from 11am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 3pm. The caretakers remove the pool covers by opening time each day.

If the covers are on or the Closed sign is on the gate, the pool is closed and no access is permitted. Covers may be left on in cold weather to keep the heat in. In hot weather the caretaker may leave the pool open until dusk.

The pool may be closed during swimming lessons, club activities and maintenance.

Keys

  • Keys may be bought by adults aged 18 and over.
  • Keys are not transferable and should not be shared between households.

Key holders are welcome to bring out-of-town visitors to swim, as long as they pay the casual swim fee. We encourage residents to buy their own key and support the pool.

Keys must be returned at the end of the season, or at the end of the day for day keys. If you lose your key, you will be charged for a replacement.
